Associate Pastor, Minister of Music, Parkwood Baptist Church,
Jacksonville, FL (1992-98)

•       Originated a “One Great Day” high attendance campaign for the
congregation, choirs and Sunday School
o       While averaging 600 in worship service and Sunday School attendance,
set a goal of 1,048; had 916 come
o       While averaging 70 in adult choir and orchestra, set a goal of 100;
had 103 people participate and 13 join
•       Six students selected to Florida Baptist All-State Youth Choir &
Orchestra in 1996
•       Singer and trumpeter in Florida Baptist Singing Men
•       First Trumpeter in First Coast Pops Orchestra, rubbing shoulders
with many lost musicians in need of Jesus
•       Encouraged church families to host Experiencing God Bible Study
groups in homes
•       Hosted many artists, including: Celebrant Singers, Eternity, Greg
Buchanan, Squire Parsons, Florida Boys
•       Started and organized Tuesday Business Luncheon: (pastor’s
devotion/music message) reaching 100 weekly

Associate Pastor, Minister of Music and Youth, First
Southern Baptist Church, Yuma, AZ (1987-92)
•       Featured the Adult Choir and Orchestra each week on the local
television station
•       Conducted the Senior High Choir at Yuma Christian School to reach
the community
•       Started, with High School Athletic Director,  a weekday Prayer Group
and Weight Lifters Fellowship
•       Served as Associational Music Director, Music Director at an Arizona
Baptist State Convention in Phoenix

Associate Pastor, Minister of Music and Media (television), 22nd
Street Baptist Church, Tucson, AZ (1984-87)
•       Presented Adult Choir and Handbell presentations at an Arizona
Baptist State Convention in Tucson
•       Commissioned an anthem/orchestration for church’s 30th anniversary;
published by Genevox Music Group
•       Music Director for the Catalina Baptist Association
•       Trained six adults in Continuing Witness Training, including
Chairman of Deacons

Associate Pastor, Minister of Music and Discipleship, Morningside Baptist (now
Kingston Road), Shreveport, LA (1981-84)
•       Awarded for largest numerical church music growth in Louisiana in 1982
•       Directed Baptist Student Union Ensemble at Louisiana State
University at Shreveport
•       Singer and trumpeter for Louisiana Singing Ministers

Minister of Music and Youth, First Baptist Church, Claremore, OK (1978-81)
•       Coordinated youth trips to Falls Creek for three summers for more
than 80 students
•       Led chartered bus trips to Colorado for two Ski/Bible Conferences
•       Worked with Governor George Nigh and choirs in celebrating hometown
Will Rogers’ 100th birthday
•       Taught seminary extension classes
•       Music Director of Rogers Baptist Association

PERSONAL
       Family:  Faithful husband to my wife, Debbie, and father to our
three grown daughters and two sons-in-law: Melody & Brian, Melissa & Daniel, and Michaela (senior
in college)
       Leisure: Spending time with family and friends, studying God’s Word,
music, outdoor recreation and walking, reading, gardening, computers/media technology, college football
